Built-in NFT Marketplace: Seamless Trading Within the Gethar App

One of the key features of the Gethar client is the NFT marketplace, fully integrated into the application. This marketplace allows players to safely buy, sell, and trade in-game NFT items, including characters, decorative objects, and valuable collectible trophies.

Key Features of the Gethar NFT Marketplace

Intuitive Catalog & Search Tools

  • All available NFTs are listed with filters and search options.

  • Users can filter items by category (character or decor), rarity, level, price, seller, and more.

  • Each listing includes:

    • A preview image

    • A description (e.g., bonuses provided by the item)

    • Transaction history (provenance) from the Stellar blockchain to verify authenticity and track ownership history.

Secure Token-Based Transactions

  • GTH is the primary currency for trading.

  • Purchases are executed via smart contracts, ensuring atomic swaps:

    • Tokens are deducted from the buyer’s balance

    • The NFT is transferred from the seller’s wallet

    • Ownership is updated on the blockchain

    • The seller receives payment in GTH

  • Potential integration with XLM and other Stellar-based assets will allow for more payment options, including XLM payments with automatic conversion rates.

NFT Auctions for Rare Items

  • Auctions are available for high-value and rare items.

  • Sellers can list an NFT with:

    • A starting price

    • A set auction duration

  • Interested buyers place bids in GTH, and when the auction ends:

    • The highest bidder wins

    • The smart contract finalizes the transaction automatically

  • Auctions establish market value for unique assets and add an extra layer of excitement for the community.

Transaction Fees & Token Burning

  • A small commission is charged on each marketplace transaction:

    • A portion supports ongoing development and token holders.

    • Another portion is burned, as outlined in the economic model.

  • This mechanism enhances the in-game economy by ensuring fair value distribution.

Built-in Security & Fraud Prevention

  • All transactions occur within the official Gethar ecosystem, eliminating the risk of scams.

  • Since all trades pass through Stellar smart contracts, users cannot sell counterfeit or previously used NFTs—validity is checked on-chain.

  • The marketplace is fully integrated into the game, removing the need for third-party platforms—players can trade directly within the secure Gethar environment.

Future Expansion & Features

  • The marketplace will grow alongside the game, expanding with new NFT collections and item categories.

  • Planned features include:

    • Seller reputation rankings

    • Recommendation systems (e.g., suggesting missing items to complete sets)

    • Fiat payment integration via partners

  • The goal is to make NFT trading a seamless part of gameplay, while also attracting external collectors interested in Gethar NFTs as valuable digital assets.
